TWLOHA founder Jamie Tworkowski didn’t set out to start a non-profit organization in 2006. All he wanted to do was help his friend Renee who was suffering from depression, addiction and self-injury. Through writing about the experience and selling t-shirts to help fund her treatment, Jamie discovered a community of people struggling with their own mental health and seeking similar support. Since then, TWLOHA has reached millions of people online and in-person with the message that hope and help are real, and has worked to invest over $2.6 million into treatment and recovery for those who can’t afford it.
